Why Running Rocks… the come back edition!

That awkward moment when you you haven’t posted in over 6 months and you don’t even know where to begin!  It’s been a very busy few months.  Where should I start?

I should probably try to recap the last 7 months but that playing catch up is what has stopped me from posting for months.  So here is the synopsis:  We packed up the whole family and moved from the North East to Southern California and I left a career I had loved for 17 years for a whole new adventure!  Rob has seen HUGE career success and Danger has shown us that he is more resilient and flexible than we had ever imagined!  It really had been amazing!

When I last posted, Rob and I are were about a week post marathon PR and hadn’t decided what would come next.  Today, we are 4 days post another Marathon PR and readjusting our goals for the year.  More on that later…

This weekend was AMAZING!  on day 426 of my Run Streak (still going for those of you who missed it) I ran my third marathon and Rob ran his second.  This 26.2 was so different from or focused race last October during the Wineglass Marathon.  This time, we chatted, we laughed, we lost track of time and pace, and we became Marathoners in a whole different way than either of us ever imagined.  We did it while with friends and had the best time doing it.

Thanks to our friends (old and new), all three of us were reminded about why we run, and why running is such a HUGE part of our family!  Since today is National Running Day, I think it’s the perfect time to celebrate the people who continue to challenge us to be better, to strive for more and who push us to be the best version of ourselves.  That is why RUNNING (and my Running Peeps) Rock my world!!
